MISSION STATEMENT

OUR MISSION is to be a people devoted to proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ, inviting others to become His disciples and dependable members of His Church.

Tuesday Bible Study

Join us in the church library for a 10 week study on, "The Story of Angels". No charge. We meet February 21 through May 1 at 9:00am. Nursery provided. We will not meet March 20, spring break. Diane Ballard, facilitator.

We will be offering two “ADULT INFORMATION CLASSES” ON Thursday, February 2^nd and 9^th at 7:00pm. If you are interested in joining our congregation and /or would like to know more about the Christian faith in the Lutheran tradition, plan to attend. The one-hour sessions will be held in the Library and will be led by Pastor Underdahl.

We will have an orientation session for ALL new members on Wednesday, February 16 at 7pm in the Parish Hall. This will be a chance to meet with the leaders of the congregation. We will receive our new members Sunday, February 19, at BOTH the 8:30 and the 10:30 service. The new members may attend either service

In February, Olan Mills will be taking photos of our church members for the 2012 church directory. The scheduled dates and times are:

Signup sheets and further information will be posted in the Gathering Room and in the Sunday Bulletins beginning in January.

***All group leaders, please start taking candid or formal photos of your groups, i.e. choir, youth groups, activities, Wednesday evening meals, WELCA, altar guild, quilting, etc. We will use the various photos for the activity pages of our directory. Diner's Club

Fresh seafood and comfort food will be the menu on Friday, February 10 at 6:00pm at "790 North" in Ft. Walton Beach, when the Diner's Club gets together again. We always have a good time, so call Donna or Carl Spring so you can join us. We always welcome 1st timers.

Upgrading your computer?

Consider donating your old one to the church, as our computers are showing signs of age (some are running Windows 2000!). Working desktops with Windows 7, Vista or XP licenses (and operating system software) preferred. Peripherals (monitors, etc.) also would be appreciated. Contact Tim Stark or the church office if you have questions or would like to donate.

St. Paul's Divine Diner

Polish up your silverware and shake out your napkin, the Wednesday evening meal is on at the St. Paul Divine Diner!

Our chef, Diane Ballard, is preparing a delicious meal. Make your reservation by filling out the bulletin insert on Sunday mornings, signing up on the sheet in the Gathering Room, or calling or emailing the church office.

All reservations must be made/cancelled by 10am on Mondays.

$5 for adults and $2.50 for children 3 to 12 years of age. $1 extra for take out orders, unless you come with your own containers.

ANNUAL YARD SALE

The annual St. Paul Yard Sale is scheduled for Saturday, April 21, 2012. Donations for the yard sale can be dropped off at the church starting Sunday, April 15. All donations must be received by April 19. Pre-sale for the congregation is Friday, April 20. The sale is open to the community Saturday, April 21. Additional details will be provided at a later date.

St. Paul Lutheran Preschool has been a vital part of the Twin Cities area since 1983. Nearly 1000 children attended St. Paul preschool since that time.

CURRICULUM

The classroom environment at St. Paul is planned to be educational and stimulating, with various interest areas such as books, art, music, puzzles, and manipulative toys. The curriculum and methods are developed from current relevant educational principles. We follow and exceed the requirements of the Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program (VPK).
